MMDA for Android™ reaches more than 20 thousand total installs (Manila)

MMDA for Android™ continues to gain popularity among Android users, as it has by far reached 20,292 total installs after just two-months time in the market.

The application, which allows users to view traffic situation in certain thoroughfares in the metro, was developed by the University of the Philippines Information Technology Training Center (UP ITTC) for the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Its iOS version was released September 2011, and both versions of the application use traffic data from MMDA-TV5 Metro Manila Traffic Navigator.

The application is currently running on v1.1.1, and features new developments such as portrait or landscape views, auto-refresh, and a speedier and more responsive user interface.

MMDA for Android™ is available for download on the Android Market.
