Taipei to Bring Optical Fibers to Homes (Taipei)
Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-bin attended the contract signing press event for the citywide “Fiber to the Home” (FTTH) project on January 3. Hau announced that Taipei will be targeting a fiber-optic coverage rate of 80% by 2015, to make it one of the leading cities to bring the fiber optical network to local households.
